Avene Eau Thermale
The fundamental component in Avene skin care products and regimens is quite simply, the water. This special water travels 40 years through the Cevennes Mountains of France collecting mineral compositions and enriched trace elements and silicates before it reaches the natural springs whose therapeutic properties have been proven to heal a full range of dermatological issues.

History
The natural springs of Avene were discovered around the mid 1700’s when the healing properties became well known and in 1826 scientists started recommending the natural springs in Avene one in particular, Jean-Louis Alibert who became the dermatologist to two kings of France. Then in 1871, the water was bottled and sent to America to help the victims of the Great Fire of Chicago, you remember Mrs. O’Leary’s cow… But it wasn’t until 1989 that the first Avene Thermal Spring Water products were produced.

Skin Care Treatments
One of the featured products is Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream, a lightweight eye cream that relieves under-eye puffiness, smoothes expression lines and moisturizes and provides anti-oxidant protection to the sensitive eye area. Like most of its products, the Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream is fragrance-free, preservative-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic.
